Blighted by eyesore

THE old Woolwich premises in Broadmark Parade, Rustington, has been empty for some four years.

I understand that there is a large, well-known tenant who wishes to keep the shop empty, in order to keep out a rival company.

Our lovely, award-winning village is blighted by this eyesore.

I would like to know why either the landlord or the tenant is not able to clean or board it up.

The windows are filthy and weeds are growing inside.

I am surprised that all the other shopkeepers in the area have not complained and got something done about this mess.
