Charity gives thanks for support

The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy branched out for the first time into fundraising from Open Garden events. We held a Woodland Walk and Easter Treasure Hunt in April at the School for Parents, another lovely event took place for us at the Unitarian Church Gardens in Horsham Town Centre in May and two further gardens were opened locally in June and July.

An enormously welcome net figure of £2,300 was raised overall and the Trust would like to send huge thanks to their sponsors Newbridge Nurseries, the Blakemore Foundation and Peter Barker Muzzell from Munneries in East Wittering for the massive amount of strawberries generously donated to the final open garden in Rudgwick.

Without the fabulous support of our volunteers none of this would have been possible and we send our thanks and gratitude to each and every one of them.

If you would be interested in opening your garden on behalf of the Trust in 2015 we would love to hear from you.
