Coach parking abuse must stop

ANOTHER year is over,

How quickly time does flow,

Last year was a big one,

I reached the big Eight O.

Folk ask me how much longer,

I will ring my bell,

Well whilst it gives me pleasure,

I will shout and yell.

Each morning when I waken,

I give a quiet hooray,

Come on now old codger,

You’ve got another day.

I’ve never been a rich man,

But listen yee to me,

There’s no one I have ever met,

Whom I would rather be.

With Rita here beside me,

I bid you hear my cry,

There’s nowhere else quite like it,

God save the town of Rye.
