Council objection seems odd

AM I the only person who finds it odd that West Sussex County Council objected to the planning application by Chandlers BMW, on the grounds of traffic volumes exiting onto the Angmering Bypass A259 roundabout, when presumably they had no objection to much larger volumes of Morrisons traffic exiting onto the A259, at a much busier roundabout at Lyminster ?
