Cruisers are blots on the landscape

I WAS glad to see the problem of the gay cruisers on West Beach mentioned on your letters page (June 10).

Sadly, the letter writers felt unable to give their names and addresses, as I do, too, for fear of reprisals.

The path along the seaside edge of the sand dunes is one of our favourite walks, to enjoy the beautiful plant life along there.

The naked men there are like blots on the lovely landscape, and their presence is very intimidating for any lone woman, and very embarrassing for families.

West Beach is not an official nudist beach, so these men are breaking the law against outraging public decency.

I hope there will be more correspondence about this problem, and when it is closed I will send copies to the police, to ask what will they do about it?

If these men are not curbed soon, they will regard the dunes as their territory, and it could become a no-go area for those of us who just want to go there to enjoy the natural (non-human) scenery.
