Customer in revolt

ONCE again, Shoreham is to be left without the facilities of a building society, as happened a few years ago when Portman closed the Shoreham agency.

Nationwide, which has had an agency in Shoreham for a relatively short time, has written to “valued customers” – its words – that it is “no longer economically sustainable for Nationwide to keep agencies operational” – again its words,

Such closures are surely not of any help whatsoever to valued customers.

I do hope that Nationwide customers who feel as incensed as I do about the closure of this useful and very friendly agency will flood the chief executive with letters of complaint about this cavalier attitude to customers.
