Disgrace to leave premises empty

IN RESPONSE to J. M. Nancollas' letter (Gazette, October 15), I am so glad someone else feels the same as me.

It is an absolute disgrace that the old Woolwich premises in Rustington has been left empty by an uncaring, large, well-known tenant, who does not want any competition from anyone else in the same industry.

Does no one in authority care? Why has this been allowed to go on for so long? I hope now more people will be aware of this, and the tenant will be forced to use the premises as they should have done from the start of the tenancy.
