EU debate: '˜we're being sold another pup'

Forty one years ago we were sold a pup, low and behold we are about to be sold another one.

The majority of voters in the UK fell for the barrage of misinformation, but not I.

Never will I be convinced that Britain needs hundreds of foreign non-elected commissioners running our country with MEPs nodding through all our imposed legislation and the massive cost of propping up this enormous institution.

Sadly, the passage of time has removed many of our border controls our ability to make our own laws, to have our own worldwide trading agreements, to control our own fishing rights along with the 12-mile off shore protected fishing zone.

Our British identity and culture is slowly being eroded away with political correctness undermining our Christian values which were our basis for building a sound quality of life. We continue to hear rubbish from many quarters that if we leave the EU, we will not be able to control our border.

I have just heard on TV’s UK Border Force that there is in excess of one million illegal immigrants now living in the UK, so does that sound like controls outside of UK are effective?

No, of course they are not, and never will be. We need our own robust border control, based at all airports and ports as we used to have.

It is apparent to me that the younger generation can never understand the aspirations and opportunities we had in the 60s and early 70s, the days when we could go to work in orchards and nurseries picking fruit or de budding flowers to earn our pocket money, start work as an apprentice – the opportunities were endless, look forward to owning our own home, all now resigned to history, thanks to the EU and the mass migration soaring the numbers to what is now in excess of 65 million, and possibly 70 million by 2025.

If we fail this time the British identity, our ability to make our own laws to keep our NHS will be assigned to the history books.

For hundreds of years Britain has thrived to build a country which can only be described as the envy of the world, otherwise, why does the whole world’s population wants to come and live here if we got it wrong.

If we vote to remain in the EU we will ultimately lose the pound, our financial institutions would be undermined, our acceptance of the multicultural society would be the order of the day, are you willing to give up all this, I say again “be very careful what you wish for as it will most certainly come to pass” if you vote yes to staying in the EU.

Now we have our last chance to save this sceptred Isle, to leave the EU and begin to regain our dignity our sovereign state, and start once again building a Britain we can be proud of for our children and all future generations.
