'˜Free admission' but had to pay at Handcross venue

I had heard that there was to be an exhibition about the actress Vivien Leigh at the Oliver Messel House, Nymans Gardens in Handcross from June 1. I was very interested in going. So I checked the entrance costs. I was delighted to read that this was 'free admission'.

Come June 1, we drove to Nymens, parked the car and asked where the exhibition was. We were directed to the house and to the entrance for directions.

We went in to ask the way and was told £12.50 per person to everywhere including the exhition.

So £25 for two, for everywhere, meant, yes, the admission to the exhibition was “free” but it costs £25 for two to get in in the first place,

Now is this trade descriptions or what? And NO, we didnt go in. Tell me someone if the adverts state “free admission”. why don’t they also add – it will cost £12.50 per person to see everything whether, like us we only went to see the Vivien Leigh exhibit?
