Fruit and veg picking job was a great experience – we shouldn’t be short of pickers

We are constantly hearing how desperate growers are for temporary pickers to harvest their fruit and vegetables.

Some years ago, there was an advertisement in your paper for seasonal tomato pickers in Littlehampton.

My eldest son and I applied and went picking for weeks.

We thoroughly enjoyed it. I would like to do some similar work but there are no advertisements in your paper.

In the national media, we have heard reports of Romanians arriving at Stanstead Airport to support some areas. This cannot be right.
