It is pertinent to the EU debate that, both ultra-liberals and commerce likes to portray the world as one vast society of individuals.

It is of course highly damaging to genuine societies.

There are today two terms that are cleverly employed to suppress rational debate and opinion.

Free as in free-trade, is beloved both by ultra-liberals and the avaricious, although it is obvious that all trade must be overseen by society, and regulated either by law or social imperatives, or both. We must not have commerce and trade dictating to society, or dictating immigration.

Phobia, is a suffix much employed by ultra-liberals to condemn all particular opinion, whether of bigoted tyrants or of altruists. And also by bigots who know they are right and everyone else is wrong and phobic.

Unfortunately many people still think social ethics are self-evident, rather than dependant on underlying philosophy.
