In broad agreement
However since its reincarnation as a centre for the arts and having just received the latest programme guide, we are in broad agreement with those who say it is becoming elitist and that there is very little that might appeal to many of the local residents. Over the last two to three years, there have been a couple of exhibitions which were superb and a couple of shows we attended, but nothing to match the 15 plus trips we have made to Eastbourne, Hastings and Brighton over the last year for pop and classical concerts and plays. When this point has been mentioned to the DLWP, the response was that it wanted to attract a “different class” of audience. Elitist or what!
