LETTER: Family stress in horrendous trial

With reference to your article regarding the new runway at Gatwick, I write to inform you that we strenuously object to this new plan.

I do not feel that this area warrants another runway, the infrastructure will not be able to cope with the increased passengers and having seen the debacle of the baggage at Gatwick this summer I doubt very much they could cope with more passengers.

There has recently been a horrendous flight trial which included planes flying over the village of Warnham where we live - you cannot begin to imagine the stress and inconvenience this caused my family, waking at 6am with low aircraft flying past the window.
