Coffee will be served at 9.30am.

The meeting is an opportunity to hear about the successes and challenges of the past 12 months at Worthing, Southlands and St Richard’s hospitals, as well as our plans for the future.

The past year has been incredibly busy and thanks to the extraordinary skill, compassion and dedication of our staff, it has also been a successful one.

Take, for example, our A&E department, which has seen attendances increase by almost 1,000 patients, yet still met the national target of seeing, treating, admitting or discharging 95 per cent of patients within the four hours and ending the year in the top 20 trusts in the country.

Our maternity teams at Worthing and St Richard’s achieved the highest level for safety in the country, according to the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts, reassuring patients that our hospitals are one of the safest places to give birth.

In short, it’s a year in which we not only treated more people than ever, but did so to higher standards of care and against a backdrop of ever increasing pressure on all our resources.

In addition to presenting our annual report and chief executive’s review of the year, the AGM will focus on the topic of Patient First, our programme for enabling staff to deliver further improvements to care, and we hope to welcome as many people from the local community to find out more.
