LETTER: Thanks for help after fall

On Wednesday, February 15, about 11.30am, I unfortunately tripped on a paving stone in Montague Street, Worthing, and I should like to take this opportunity to thank those kind people who showed concern and helped me.

As a lady and gentlemen assisted in getting me on my feet again another two ladies asked if I was all right. How lucky I was in having so many kind people around.

The first lady took me to a seat so that I could regain my composure and then for a cup of tea. Not only that, but she took me Worthing Hospital so that I could be checked over as I began to realise that one wrist was not as it should be.

I was able to telephone her once I was back home and thank her again and tell her the good news that no bones were broken.

However, on Tuesday, February 21, I was recalled to A&E as it appeared that I do have a very slight fracture, so now a splint has been changed to a cast.
