LETTER: Worries about Gatwick growth
The poll published in the County Times supporting a secondnd runway at Gatwick seems to be based on a sample of 140 persons. This is comparable to another recent poll of over 5,000 local residents who are against such additional development.
You must take due account of the strong local opposition to Gatwick’s inconsiderate plans for expansion and give a much more balanced and concerned view to reflect the local community worries about more expansion at Gatwick.
You must make every reader aware of the actual value of a low population poll versus a larger and this more reflective representation of the real local views.
Please take due account of the real sizes of such ‘so-called’ representative views of local opinion.
