Littlehampton's Walk of Witness a moving event

'˜Best ever'; '˜very moving'; '˜I cried'. Those were just some of the comments after the Littlehampton Churches Together Walk of Witness through the precinct on Good Friday morning.

The actors excelled themselves as we moved from the Garden of Gethsemane to Jesus’s trial by Caiophas, them by Pilate and finally to his crucifixionafter which Rory McClure, pastor of Parkside Church, gave a challenging talk to the crowd.

Special thanks to Dawn who stepped into the role of serving girl at the very last minute on Friday morning. (She was just enjoying a coffee in the United Church’s Friday Cafe where the actors met before the walk).

I’m so sorry that the sound system wasn’t used at the end. Some people had difficulty in hearing, but while not every speaker was heard the actions clearly told the story of Jesus’ suffering and death for us and reminded us all of the real reason for our Easter celebrations. Jesus died so that we might live. and on Easter Sunday many of us met again in our various churches to rejoice in the fact he rose from the dead and is alive for evermore.

All our local churches would welcome anyone who would like to find out more about Jesus and the Christian Faith.
