The Horsham Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild are celebrating this day in the Garden Room of Horsham Museum.

We are inviting members of the public to drop in there and add a stitch or two to the Horsham Dragon. We hope children, who seem to love taking part in projects like this, will come and meet us.

We do have a Young Embroiderers’ group and try to encourage stitching in the young.

This is an enlarged version of the dragon designed for Horsham Museum by one of our members, and when the stitching is complete we will frame it and donate it to the museum.

Members of the branch will be at the Museum from 10 am to 5pm and I will be there all day if you want to send anyone round. This is a follow on for the exhibition about the Dragon at the museum.

Report contributed by Janet Brown, chairman of the Horsham Branch of the Embroiders’ Guild.
