Neighbours kind enough to aid parking

WITH reference to the letter "Inconsiderate parking upset" (Gazette, September 24), thanks to the consideration of friends and neighbours who are aware that I have a chronic heart condition, and am not classified as disabled, I usually manage to park outside my own house.

This is next to the inaccessible parking bay used by the complainant.

I would like to inform my anonymous neighbour that I invariably leave him as much room as possible to enter and leave his bay.

He always has enough room to access and open his boot. Indeed, since my vehicle has a lifting tailgate, I can always access my own boot. Now, if these habits constitute inconsiderate and stupid behaviour, then I guess I am guilty as charged.

n Editor's note: Mr Venables may or may not be a neighbour of the original letter writer, whose identity we withheld at their request.

There are many such disabled spaces across this area.
