Leigh-Beth joins the Horsham-based team, bringing a wealth of experience in community fundraising to the organisation. Her work will help the charity bring in vital funds to deliver therapeutic support to children and families who are suffering the most fundamental loss they will ever experience.

Leigh-Beth grew up in Portsmouth and now lives in Horsham, home of the West Sussex Winston’s Wish base. After studying Events Management at Leeds Beckett University, Leigh-Beth has since held positions in local authority events, and spent ten years as a Community Fundraiser at another children’s charity.

Leigh-Beth wants to encourage more locals to get involved with Winston’s Wish. She commented:

“I’m very proud to join the Winston’s Wish team and to be part of such a great charity. We have lots of exciting fundraisers in the works, in West Sussex and beyond, and I aim to be very creative in the way we involve the community in Winston’s Wish. Winston’s Wish depends almost entirely on voluntary donations for income, so I aim to raise the charity’s profile locally and help bring in that important money!”

Funds raised from Leigh-Beth’s work will ensure that Winston’s Wish can deliver the right support at the right time to bereaved young people, enabling them to live with their grief and build positive futures.

Catherine Ind, acting Chief Executive at Winston’s Wish, added:
