Picnic rubbish left behind

On my way along Ash Lane in Rustington on the afternoon of Saturday, August 27, I spotted a number of youngsters having a picnic on the grass verge behind the bus shelter in front of the bungalows.

Imagine my disgust when on returning a little later to discover they had left all their litter scattered about the area – probably expecting someone else to clear up after them.

We live in a beautiful village. Why do people not respect this? After all, it is not difficult to take your rubbish home or put in one of the many bins in the area.
