Pulling together to raise funds
If you need help in fundraising, then I suggest you go to the group that knits, crochets or does another craft.
I go to a craft group and the library in Amngmering. In Rustington I go to St Josephs Church, the Guild Care shop and the library. The library and the guild care shop are going. In Littlehampton I go to the libaray and Arcade Knitters.
These people are fantastic at helping.
I decided to do ‘Brave the Shave’ for Macmillan Cancer Care. I suggested we support another charity as well. I asked everyone to bring a hat to go to either Link to Hope or Special Care Babies at Worthing Hospital.
There were 126 hats, and over 80 prizes were donated for the raffle.
Macmillan asked what my target – regarding sponsorship – would be. From the top of my head I said £500, thinking if I get half that would be good.
I have to include and family as well as all the knitters. The total at present is £879.63.
You are all wonderful people and so generous. Thank you so much.
