Still awaitng reply from Arun District

Four weeks ago, I wrote the following letter to Arun District Council who up to now have not replied.

I wrote: “When many years ago I was granted a Littlehampton Council mortgage, it was a fixed one at 4.5 per cent. Some time later a council employee I knew said to me ‘you wouldn’t get a fixed per cent mortgage these days because we have to borrow money at the going rate’.

So I cannot understand the Arun District Council being able to offer interest loans to people who intend to rent out the properties, which are renovated with the help of the grants. Surely the council could lend this monety at fixed interest rates or have I read this article wrong?

Perhaps it can be explained to us by Councillor Roger Elkins, who is the one responsible in the end – but with the cuts made by the government to the money the council receives, I would have thought every way to keep us solvent would have been applied, but it seems I am wrong.”

That was my letter to Arun District Council put through their letter box at their offices. That was four weeks ago and I have had no answer.
