Thanks and shock

I WOULD like to extend my total thanks and my total shock, to the David Hunt Trust, from East Preston, for their mind boggling £1,000 donation.

As readers may be aware, under my alter-ego of The Swimming Gardener, I am swimming various endurance events this year (The Eight Swims of Hell) to raise vital money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

This donation goes to bolster my belief that there are some incredible people among your readership. In such hard times, it is heartening to know that the community is ready to support those who try to step up to the mark.
