They know the law

I'M rather puzzled by the article about Mr Malcolm Joel and his speeding fine. Am I meant to feel sympathy for an habitual criminal (speeding is a criminal offence and this is Mr Joel's fourth offence) who admits to being guilty (the speed limit is 30mph and he states he was travelling at at least 33mph)?

I do get irritated by the continual whining that emanates from motorists when they break the law and then discover that they have been caught. They know what the law is, they know what they should do to obey it, if they break the law and get caught it is their own fault and they should accept that without complaint.
