Town show came in under budget

IT was pleasing to read the positive feedback in your newspaper last week about the Town Show and Family Fun Day, both from those attending and the community groups.

It is fantastic to see how much people care for their town and the tremendous work put in by so many organisations to make Littlehampton a better place. The turnout and response from the public was superb.

However, I must correct one point from councillor David Botting's letter (Gazette, September 24). The overall cost of the event this year was 18,000. Through a number of efficiency savings, this is 2,000, under budget.
