As a young man I used to drink in a pub called the British Queen in Greenwich London – the landlords were Roy and Kath Lester.

They then moved to become landlord of a pub in Goring which at the time was called the George. I’m obviously now getting on in years and I’m sure Roy and Kath must be retired, I now live in Cyprus and so can’t pop along to Goring and try to track them down – but I wondered if through your newspaper you would be able to find out what became of them.

I do know that the people of Goring held them both in high regard during the time they ran the George.

Hopefully you are able to help.
