Volunteers wanted
THE Rother Home from Hospital Service has the most wonderful volunteer people. The service currently has five car driving volunteers in Bexhill. Without volunteers' help more older people will be kept in hospital, or worse discharged without help which could result in them having to go back to hospital.
It is hard to emphasise how important this service is in helping the recovery and rehabilitation of older people in our community. The service urgently needs more people over the age of 18 to volunteer - preferably with a car as shopping is frequently required.
A listening ear or kind word can also make all the difference to someone’s recovery. Expenses are paid and training offered. Do you want to help this worthwhile service? Would you like to build up work experience to further your career? If so, please contact me very soon on 01424 775766.
