We all have coincidences

I think God likes to set things up and have a little chuckle.

One of my regular moans is locked churches during the week. Six weeks ago for no obvious reason I started attending Sackville Road Methodist church on a Sunday morning. I even emailed the circuit last week with an idea to open the church during the week and invite in shoppers and office workers.

So I’m handed my service sheet this morning (Sunday), plus an extra flyer advertising the Open Doors Fortnight, Sackville Road church open daily for two weeks 10am-1pm with displays by local groups and tea/ coffee.

God must be rolling around laughing, in the nicest possible way. The church has been planning this Open Doors Fortnight for a whole year. I had no idea why I began attending Sackville Road suddenly. God knew. God planned. The fancy word is ‘predestined.’

We all have these coincidences, that we know in fact were pre-planned and not random luck. God is working in all our lives. Pop along to Sackville Road church soon and tell us about yours.
