‘Why I believe the Earth is flat’

I am a member of the Flat Earth Society and I would like to reiterate the view of the society that the Earth is in fact flat, and not spherical as some would have us believe.

Our eyes alone tell us that the Earth is most definitely flat every time we venture outdoors. In order to prove beyond question that our world is flat, if I were to walk far enough in a straight line I would simply fall off the edge of the Earth and drop down into space and be lost forever..

We sometimes hear of ships and aircraft going missing without trace. These very careless skippers have simply sailed or flown off the edge of the world.

We in the Flat Earth Society also believe the Sun and Moon are also flat. In fact, the discs of the Sun and Moon are not very thick. The Sun has a thickness of about a mile or two, while the moon is very thin...only about a foot and a half.

The fact that the Earth is a flat rectangle is proven by history. Mediaeval sailors had to be very careful not to sail off the edge and their charts confirm this. Also areas of the world marked ‘Here be Dragons’ shows that they were very hardy seafarers indeed.
