Your toddlers were out of control in Waitrose

This is an open letter to the mums and their little children who were having their drinks on Monday, July 26, around 10am, at Rustington Waitrose. You know who you are.

Well I and many other customers were clearly annoyed at the toddlers’ behaviour – running up and down, shouting and totally uncontrolled.

It was me, who said to one of you, that you should be careful in case of accidents with hot drinks.

Well, madam, wasn’t you the rude one. You replied you were aware of that and asked if I had children, angrily.

I replied you should keep control and as you walked away you probably didn’t hear me say I had worked with children for 25 years as a paediatric nurse.

So I do know what I am talking about.

I approached the manager to which he replied the parents are responsible.

So if by misfortune one of the uncontrolled tots gets scolded, don’t blame Waitrose or the poor devil who spilt the hot drink over the running toddler, blame yourself.

So next time you are there with your rowdy, uncontrolled toddlers and young children, please keep them in control and accident free.

Waitrose shop and cafe is not a playgroup.
