Parking too pricey

I JUST wanted to say how pleasant it is driving in Worthing town centre now.

There were plenty of parking spaces both on the road and in the car parks when I took my daughter shopping this afternoon (Thursday, August 5).

Finding so many spaces to park in is not something that happens often these days, so well done Worthing Borough Council and West Sussex County Council for making it so easy to park.

Sadly, the charges, up to 1.60 per hour, were too rich for my pocket, so I took my daughter out of the town to shop elsewhere.

I apologise profusely to the good shopkeepers of Worthing for my lack of loyalty, however, until I can afford to pay the parking charges I find that I am forced to shop elsewhere.

It's cheaper to hop on the train to Brighton.

Still, at least other motorists can rest assured they'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding somewhere to park in the town.

When all the shops have closed, even the pesky coaches with their day-trippers will disappear, too!
