Real treats on town's stages

A REAL treat was missed by people who didn't make it to the Assembly Hall on Saturday, March 21.

A superb concert, by the Central Band of the Royal British Legion, under the musical directorship of Captain David Cole.

A selection of music for nearly all tastes '“ classical to traditional jazz, ragtime to show music and more.

Captain Cole was last conducting in Worthing 11 years ago when he was the, very popular, director of music of the Band of the Royal Marines, Portsmouth.

He is an entertainment in himself with his inimitable style of conducting and, from the many smiling faces, his rapport with the band is obvious.

He has promised that they will return to Worthing next year.

If you love good music, then make sure that you do not miss this concert.
