We love fundraising for our partner organisations and other groups in the area. In the past few years we have been able to raise funds for local Scouts and Girl Guide groups, Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Guild Care.

Further afield we have donated to Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign, plus Rotary ShelterBox and Clean Water in the areas laid waste in the last year by hurricane and flooding.

You will see club members regularly around the town on street corners collecting for national fundraising and at our own events around the area – car boot sales, marshalling events with our local charities and our annual Worthing Carnival on August bank holiday.

This spring we will have our craft and cake fayre at Lancing on May 5. If you are a home baker, enjoy baking and can bake something great looking and great tasting, then our cake fayre is for you.

We will be running a competition for the bakes, cakes and other bits and pieces on the day, with various categories for the under 11s, 11-17, and 18-plus.

You can even choose your bake – perhaps flapjacks or muffins, cupcakes or sponges, iced cakes, buns or just fruit cake?

Entries are £1 per bake. So if baking is your thing, please contact us to book your place.

If you are a cake lover come along on May 5 and see the competition entries and perhaps have a cup and cake with us.

Entry to the fayre is free – visit www.facebook.com/WorthingS1 for more information.

There is a crafts section too, with lots of other goodies and craftwork on display.

Why not have a sale table and sell something in aid of our charities?

There are some tables available at £10 for the day – contact us to book your sales table.

We are looking forward to a great day and a great way to raise some money.
