ROTARY ROUND-UP: Make a difference to peoples’ lives

This week, Kim Woodley, from the Rotary Club of Worthing, is urging everyone to get involved with Rotary.

Do you help organise a local club or activity where new members are welcome?

If so, Worthing Rotary Club are organising a Hobbies and Leisure Exhibition at the Assembly Hall, in Stoke Abbott Road.

The exhibition will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016, and bookings are now being taken for all those groups wishing to have a table or stand.

The cost is £16 per table and £11 for each extra table.

To obtain booking forms please send your email address via private message on our Facebook page: Worthing Rotary Club, or contact 01903 262222.

If you’d like to find out about the many, varied organisations and activities available in and around Worthing then make a note in your diary to come along on March 5, between 10am and 4pm, and chat to the representatives of groups ranging from walking groups to photography, knitting, gardening and charities where volunteers are needed (even for just an hour or two a week). Entry is free.

If you enjoy meeting people, supporting your local community and generally getting involved in making a difference to the lives of those around us, as well as those in other parts of the world, then you may be the perfect person to join our Rotary club.

You could then be helping us set up the Hobbies and Leisure Exhibition next year, holding a collecting tin at our Christmas tree in town or fundraising for an international disaster.

We are a caring group of men and women who all live very busy lives but enjoy spending some of our time organising and helping with community and charitable events.

Join us any Monday lunchtime at the Chatsworth Hotel and you too could be making a difference to the lives of others, as well as giving yourself a huge sense of achievement, whilst also enjoying great friendships and fun with our wonderful group of members.

We hope to meet you soon.
