Scheme nobody wanted

Yet West Sussex County Council has just wasted tens of thousands of pounds on a ridiculous scheme to put coloured Tarmac in Lancing village centre and further reduce the available parking spaces - a scheme which no one locally, traders or shoppers, even wanted.

I strongly refute its claims that the local traders were in favour.

I shop in Lancing several times a week and have spoken to all the independent shopkeepers, and not one is in favour.

So, West Sussex, please tell me which ones you spoke to who wanted the scheme.
