WORTHING LIONS: New president takes chain of office
At Worthing Bowling Club last Thursday evening the new Worthing Lions Club president Marian Down, the 65th in the club's history, was handed the chain of office from outgoing president Steve Coe.
Lions and friends of Lions were present, including the former mayor and present councillors of Worthing Borough Council and West Sussex County Council councillors.
Marian, who is a funeral director, takes on the presidency in what is Lions Clubs International’s centenary, the largest voluntary international service club in the world.
You can see and meet her at the Worthing Lions Festival on the seafront at the end of July.
