A talented group of young performers have made history by becoming the first Southern Junior Champions at a dance and drama contest in Portsmouth.
The 11-year-olds from Orchard Middle School in Goring wowed the crowd with their performance of “The Spider and the Fly” which won them first prize at the Rock Challenge southern finals.
The team scooped separate awards for the best choreography, best drama skills, and best stage crew, as well as an award for positive inclusion and a prize for the best video diary.
Charlie Knott, 11, played the leading role.
He said: “It was unbelievable.
“I was just speechless when we found out we had won.
“My dad was really proud of me.”
