Overturned lorry closes A24 at Findon Valley

THE A24 at Findon Valley is currently closed in both directions after a lorry overturned.

The articulated lorry was travelling northbound at 3.30am when it collided with a tree and overturned.

Part of the lorry came to rest in the front garden of a house. No-one was injured.

Emergency services and recovery are currently on scene but it could take several hours to clear the debris and oil.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes. The diversion is using the A280 north and southbound and rejoining or leaving the A24 at Findon.
