TEAMS of people will hope to have a flipping fantastic time when they compete in this year’s Charity Pancake Olympics in Worthing.

Following the success of last year’s event, the pancake-tossing challenge will again take place in Montague Street on March 5 to raise money for four charities.

This year, the four charities taking part are Worthing Churches Homeless Projects, Guild Care, Link Romania and Love Your Hospital, the charity for Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Pancake Olympics is a sponsored event suitable for all ages.

There are several different races, such as a relay race, pancake tossing and longest throw.

Teams of five can enter in return for raising funds for one of the charities.

Louise Brooks from Worthing Churches Homeless Projects said “Last year, we had such fun and laughter, all the teams enjoyed the races, some even came in fancy dress.

“We hope that more teams will register this year and raise funds for local charities whilst having an enjoyable time.”
