Months after starting Davison High School in 2011, Olivia underwent an operation to fuse her spine, after being diagnosed with scoliosis.

The operation was a success but during a scan the following year, to check on the progress of her recovery, a tumour was found on her kidney. Despite its removal and the initial hope that the cancer had been caught early, further scans revealed it had spread to her lungs.

The family said: “Olivia was a really lovely, bubbly, friendly, happy girl. Everyone really loved her. She made the place all the better for her being here and it’s very sad.”
