Passer-by pensioner injured by chair thrown in Worthing street fight

A PENSIONER fractured two fingers when she was hit by a chair thrown by a man during a Worthing street fight on Saturday (November 8).

Two men were fighting outside the parade of shops, in Findon Road, when one picked up a metal chair and threw it, hitting the 65-year-old woman as she was walking by at 3.30pm.

The men were white and about 40. One was wearing a blue top and the other was wearing a white top.

PC Matt Welch said: “The parade of shops in Findon Road is a very busy area and there would have been lots of cars passing by at that time of the afternoon so there could be plenty of people who saw what happened.

“We need to speak to anyone who was in the area and who saw or heard some part of the incident. If you know anything at all, please get in touch.”
