I now have the details of the Thanksgiving service for Joe Rider - Rye Baptist Church, Cinque Ports Street on Sunday February 10 at 10.45am.

I’m rather glad the snow has now gone, but I did admire the igloo that appeared on the Recreation ground last week!

Sadly I am still seeing an awful lot of dog mess around when I walk my dogs. I know I often mention it, but when you are a responsible dog owner and carry bags with you it is annoying to be tarred by the same brush as people who don’t bother. All dog owners are not the same. However they should be - please pick up after your dog and either use the bin provided on the corner of The Maltings, or double wrap it and put it in your own rubbish. Rant over.

Don’t forget the special Family Service at Peasmarsh Church this Sunday February 3 at 10am to celebrate the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. This is a short, simple service specially arranged for children and their families, and will include the blessing of the crib figures before they go away for next Christmas.
