Peasmarsh village voice

The Clean-up day organised by The Village Society last Saturday for which Keep Britain Tidy supplies the bright coloured bags you may see outside the Memorial Hall was rather a let down despite being well advertised and the weather favourable.

Several people turned up on the morning and two others had collected on the previous day. Two further members manned the Memorial Hall as a First-Aid post and a coffee stop. Thank you to those who turned up and for their efforts which amounted to 14 bags. We covered the side roads and twittens since the Council does clean up the Main Street fairly regularly. There was less rubbish than last year which is heartening but how horrible to find so much dog poo tied up in plastic bags and thrown at the side of the pathways. It cannot break down in a plastic bag! The idea is to take it home and dispose of it or place it in the dog bin at the entrance to the Maltings if you are near there. Please respect your Village.

The Peasmarsh Flying Start baby and toddler group is held at the Peasmarsh Memorial Hall every Thursday morning (during term time) from 9.30am-11.30am and costs £2 per family, all welcome.
