Pensioners’ fair to be held by MP

EAST Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton will host a pensioners’ fair in the Guildbourne Centre on Friday, March 20.

After last year’s successful fair at Lancing Parish Hall, Mr Loughton is making the event a regular feature in his constituency calendar.

The fair will cover a range of issues that affect pensioners, from concerns on health to heating and housing.

A variety of organisations will set up stalls and representatives will be on hand to talk to residents and hand out information.

He said: “I am excited that this pensioners’ fair will be bigger than ever. We have a larger venue and more organisations.

“The location in central Worthing means we are expecting to attract more attendees than ever before. I will be there all day and be on hand to answer any queries that I can deal with as MP.”

So far, the list of organisations attending includes Sussex Police, Age UK, Adur Community Alarm, Carers Support, Worthing Council, Worthing Homes, Guild Care, Alzheimer’s Society, Royal Voluntary Service, Southern Water, National Energy Action, Freedom Powerchairs, and a range of Worthing and Adur councillors.

The fair will be open between 10am and 3pm.
