PENSIONS STRIKE: Worthing Hospital physiotherapists are striking

A GROUP of 36 physiotherapists from Worthing Hospital are currently striking over changes to public sector pension schemes.

There are six physiotherapists striking at each of the six entrances at the hospital in Lyndhurst Road.

Physiotherapist Pat Morfitt, spokesman for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, said: “Our big concern is the rise in pension age from 67 to 68 because physiotherapy is a very emotionally and physically demanding job and it would be difficult to work until that age and do the job properly.”
