Goring Methodist Pre-School, in Bury Drive, Goring, remains open for business, looking after children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Other children, who are unable to attend due to the government's restrictions, are able to join in lots of activities through the pre-school's Facebook page.

Carolyn Moon, manager, said: "Staff are pleased that they are able to continue to look after children in their care at this difficult time but they know their other children are missing being at pre-school and their friends.

"They are keeping in contact with the children who are not able to attend pre-school by adding regular updates to their Facebook page with ideas for crafts, sharing show and tell, especially of their tomato plants, which the children took home to grow, story time read by their teachers, playing hunt the bear with Billy Bear, the pre-school mascot, as well as continuing to sending out a weekly newsletter to parents and carers and being in touch with families by telephone.

"We have added a washing line to the front garden of the church where we meet, so that children can do a painting or picture and add them to the line while out on their exercise walk.

"Their teachers will laminate them and return them to the line so that the children can see their picture and artwork done by their friends."
