Chichester care home provider scoops national award for second year running

Anchor Hanover, which runs Augusta Court care home in Winterbourne Road, won Large Residential Care Provider of the Year at the 2020 LaingBuisson Awards for the second consecutive year.
The judges cited Anchor Hanover’s use of Memoride, a virtual cycling platform for older people, in their decision.

Hide AdThey said: “The Memoride, a pedal exerciser which generates an image of a town onto a screen using Google Maps, is simple yet effective to taking people ‘out.’ The business outcome and service users outcome is remarkable.”
Anchor Hanover’s director of care quality, Cath Holmes, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the LaingBuisson Large Residential Care Provider of the year award.
“The last year has been a challenging time for everyone and our colleagues have worked tirelessly to ensure residents continue to receive the highest levels of care throughout the pandemic, so we are delighted that their work has been recognised.”
The LaingBuisson Awards honour and celebrate industry excellence in the UK health and social care services within public, private and third sectors.
