Malcolm Gough, chairman of trustees, said: “I am pleased to tell you the doors of the Southwick Community Centre will be open again on Tuesday, September 1, and with us following a cautionary programme, I feel confident we will soon have the centre fully operational in the very near future.

“The planned schedule of works we had in preparation for the re-opening has been completed ahead of time and subject to any new Government guidelines, and assuming the virus does not increase around this area, we are now ready to welcome back our affiliated groups and friends.

“Arrangements may be very different now and room sizes limited but with the Covid-19 measures now in place, we are confident that you will feel completely at ease and safe when you visit us on site.

“I hope we can welcome you all back to your centre very soon.”
