Dogs Trust Shoreham has been working with the four-year-old labrador cross collie, using reward-based methods.

The Brighton Road centre is not currently rehoming due to the government limitations but wishes to maintain public awareness of the dogs that will need new owners once restrictions lift.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager, said: “Zeke is a fun dog who enjoys keeping busy. His favourite pastimes are playing a game of fetch, exploring the quiet countryside, settling down with a long-lasting chew and spending time with his people pals.

“Zeke is super smart with a love for learning. He’s hoping to find an experienced owner who is keen to continue with his on-going training and who could offer him plenty of opportunities for mental stimulation as well as physical activity.

“Zeke is looking for an adult-only home in an area local to the Shoreham rehoming centre, so that his potential owners can begin their relationship and receive guidance with his training over multiple sessions with the team.

“Although he needs to be the only pet in the household, Zeke is beginning to socialise with other dogs while out on his walks, so can potentially have walking buddies with other friendly canines.”
